What is the mission of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce? To develop leaders, accelerate economic growth and provide a community voice for women. top
What is the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce? The US Women's Chamber of Commerce is the pre-eminent national women's chamber of commerce network whose mission is to develop leaders, accelerate economic growth and provide a community voice for women. The US Women's Chamber of Commerce is establishing affiliate organizations in all key markets nationally. How is the chamber structured? The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization. The USWCC has regional Affiliates and Chapters that facilitate programs in support of the mission. Any woman or man joining the chamber becomes part of the national organization. How are you different from other organizations for women? Our focus is on leadership and economic development with a special focus on the middle market of maturing women-owned businesses and the growing ranks of career women who are moving into higher levels of management. We offer cutting edge career and business leadership training programs aimed at helping women grow to the next economic level in their businesses and careers

The founders of the USWCC have a long history of working to develop opportunities for women. Through their work in the women's community and their study of statistics regarding the growth and needs of the women's market, they became aware of a clear, untapped need to focus on economic development, leadership training and financial training for women. As the founders began to address these needs through print media, events and training activities it became clear that there was a need to create an organization to meet these needs for women across the U.S. How does someone join the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce? We have an application process. The information about the chamber and the application can be found at our website www.uswomenschamber.com. Women and men who have interest are welcome to join the chamber. top What is the cost? Membership costs vary based on the membership level. They start at $160 for individuals and small business, and $1675 for larger corporations. (Rates may vary from region to region.) Through the work of our affiliates we create a strong community voice with opportunities focused at business and career development as well as financial education. Our programs include financial, business, career and leadership training aimed at assisting women to grow economically. Members have the opportunity to network with women at our local meetings, committees and councils, and special events, national conferences, and virtually through our online communities located at www.uswomenschamber.com.
Members also receive personalized news and information regarding business opportunities, jobs, public policy and business issues via the "My USWCC" located at the USWCC website and receive the Chamber e-Newsletter - "U.S. Woman." There are 6.4 million women-owned businesses in the U.S. - the fastest growing market segment.
Women are a driving force in the U.S. economy, with a purchasing power of over $3.3 trillion per year. 63 million women work. There are 8 million more women than men. Women head 30 million households by themselves. Sales receipts for women-owned businesses have more than doubled since 1987.
