Announcement of the USWCC National Women's Lobby and Virtual Town Hall

The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce™ last week announced a powerful new national program to launch the most connected and influential voice for women business leaders in America: the National Women's Lobby and the Power of Influence campaign. The National Women's Lobby will capture the strength of women's organizations in America, and enable us to work together to better understand issues, develop strategies, and advance a unified voice for change to policy makers.

Today, the USWCC takes another leap forward in connecting women to greater influence, education, opportunity and advancement with its groundbreaking Virtual Town Hall -- a revolutionary system of Internet-based live voice conferencing, online polling and interactive sessions. Through Virtual Town Hall events, the USWCC will introduce women business leaders to experts in procurement, leadership and public policy; moderate discussions on top issues of the National Women's Lobby; and conduct live polling on issues to be presented to state and national political leaders.

First Virtual Town Hall to Focus on Access to Markets for Women Business Owners and Culminates in "Access to Markets: Women in Procurement Week"

The first National Women's Lobby Virtual Town Hall will focus on the top entrepreneurial issue women identified late last year:  securing entry into government and larger corporate 2nd tier procurement markets.  This Virtual Town Hall is being launched today, Jan. 27, 2004, and will continue until Friday, March 5, 2004 when the final national vote will close on our first policy statement.

Following the March closing, there will be a national week celebrating women business owners as suppliers in government procurement markets (Access to Markets: Women in Procurement Week) that will help us to present our policy solutions to political representatives and key influencers in a powerful way.
